Software Engineer

Why 3 Story Software?
We're a bunch of guys who like writing code for a living and we're looking for someone to join in on the fun. We're a small startup; you'll be employee #5. You like to try new and different things; we're building software for diverse markets (VMS, Projects, ERP, etc). We read Joel Spolsky, Eric Sink, and Paul Graham regularly; you're looking for a company that's at least heard of one of them. We own copies of (and have actually read) Peopleware and The Mythical Man-Month.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate requirements into software design, development tasks, and time estimates.
  • Create new software features and/or enhance existing features according to requirements.
  • Develop automated unit test and integration test scripts to ensure implementation quality.
  • Research and resolve software defects.
Experience:
  • .NET - C# and ASP.NET
  • Working with large databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and mySQL.
  • Building "scaled out" solutions a plus.
  • Agile development (Scrum) preferred.
  • Can handle pace and stress of startup environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Knows how to have fun (but also when to be serious).
Requirements:
  • Local candidates only, no telecommuting or relocation available.
  • US Citizen or authorized to work in US, no sponsorships available.
